Product Description:
A picturesque Georgian Style wooden dolls house to house the Pintoy family. 6 rooms on 3 storeys. The front fully opens, including the roof and can be extended by adding a basement unit. Scale 1:12. Furniture and family available separately.

Fantastic,
I searched a long time for a big dolls house that wasn’t too twee and this fits the bill perfectly.
Easy to asemble and easy for child to use as it opens fully and they can get their hands around the stairs so it also makes sense as a house (things like that irritated me as a child!).
A toy that should last for years and can be added onto in the future with extra furniture and the basement set. Would highly recommend.

|Marvelous Product,
I have bought this for my 8 yr old daughter for Christmas, as she loves playing with houses. I have opened the box containing the dolls house which is flat packed. I wanted to ensure all the parts are included in the box prior to putting in together on Christmas Eve. On looking at the product I was impressed with the quality of the wood. It is sturdy and has lots of room to put all her furniture. what is also good is that it does not have too many fiddly parts to assemble, it will be easy to set it up. I have bought the basement to go with the dolls house. I am sure this will be passed on to future generations. Highly reccommend

|Offgassing smell from MDF. Difficult assembly.,
I chose this dollhouse over Plan Toys Victorian because the safety reports for both houses were identical and I preferred this design. However there was nothing in the reports about formaldehyde emissions of MDF or glue used. I was assured by Pintoy representatives that they used low E glue and passed the US ASTM safety laws and used CARB MDF. Yet Plan Toys goes the extra mile and uses ZERO E glue and their MDF is pressed sheets of veneer rather than the milled and sanded pulp from Pintoys. BIG DIFFERENCE. The formaldehyde offgassing smell from Pintoys Marlborough was obvious and immediate and made my eyes sting during assembly. My toddler’s eyes also immediately became irritated. Unfortunately I could not ship it back because I opened it. Also I am overseas in the U.S. So there goes $325. I put it near open doors for 3 days but the smell is still there though fainter. Love the design of this house (slightly larger than Plan Toys Victorian with a more useful flat attic wall rather than slanted) but the assembly was difficult (had to redrill too small bolt holes in the MDF). I also found the back return of the staircase frustrating because half of it is inaccessible though it creates more space in the rooms. There was one MDF panel in the basement facade that arrived unglued and made closing the dollhouse a chore. My understanding is Pintoys has stopped making this model. If I get time I may try to use a non-toxic sealer over the MDF, but ugh. I just can’t help but wonder what I just exposed my toddler and myself to during assembly! I can only hope it will finish offgassing soon.
